Summer in Madrid at day time is hell. High temperatures and heat make you flat. Every wall facing west and every road surface on the street contribute to a particularly dry and hot weather. How to fight against that? Well, one old roman cure tells of closing every window and not all but some window shutters at home the whole day long. After day sufocattion at sun down or even later plain sunset, opened windows will let you breath -and give some rest to the fan- and a gentle breeze blows up into the house changing temperture. This's an example how it works outdoors during day time, siesta time. It was taken while others seem to rest in one Madrid's corner ? ....shhhh ;-) - Next time I'll do the other: The indoors look (lol)
