this image was taken on the local canal that runs to the rear of my house.
it has been in residence for a few weeks now so is quite a local celebrity.
there is no female with it and it just mixes with the many mallards that we have locally.
anyway I love it, its colours are a delight.

These Mandarin ducks are so beautiul with their very striking plumage, and in this shot we have a double helping with that superb reflection.

The icing on the cake here are the perfect reflections...
What's a pitty, that this duck don't found a female mandarin duck...
