Once a Corner Grocery Store (16)

now a little neighbourhood café

before supermarkets Vancouver had many, many little corner grocery stores in every neighbourhood (the entrance door being on the corner) .... some still remain, but many have been converted to other stores, cafes, art galleries and living quarters - I love them as they take away from the impersonality of the big stores
.... you will find more of these converted stores in my "Vancouver Living" folder ..

The same here. The chains have taken over - with a better selection, but with a loss of atmosphere.

Das ist eine sehr schöne Ecke, die Du hier so wunderbar aufgenommen hast! Herrlich, das Licht und so schön, all die blühenden Bäume und Sträucher! Die Sitzgelgenheiten laden zu einem kleinen Plausch ein... solch ein Laden hat einfach sehr viel Flair - da können die modernen, riesigen, oft unpersönlichen Supermärkte nicht mithalten... LG und ein schönes WE!! a.
