On Good Hope cape 2
Good Hope cape (for more information please refer to the first photo in the series. Thank you very much)
In the photo the cape Good Hope looking towards the west. The photo is taken from the coastal cliffs above Cape Point. The Dias beach is also seen from the name of Vartholomeus Dias, the Portuguese explorer who was the first to sail around the cap( 1488) and open the way for the long wanted line of direct trade with Far East.
Good Hope cape is not though, the southern tip of Africa. In fact, this is cape Agulhas, about another 150km to east-southeast and it is exactly in that point that the two oceans, Atlantic and Indian shake hands.
