Northern Lights in England

Taken from Black Sail Youth Hostel, with no light pollution. The silouhete is of Pillar Rock, Ennerdale,Lake District.
We saw these strange lights in the sky for about 4 hours, at first we thought something was on fire in the next valley, only after midnight did it become dark enough to tell what it was. When i took the photo i couldn't see the red part - that was black to the naked eye - it only became clear on the photo's. It was a time exposure of about 2 min.
