New Growth in a Forest in Springtime

Oh, there I go, rushing the season again ;-)

Ah, but the flesh is weak when new scans arrive from the lab and evoke
pleasurable moments with a camera in the warmth of a summer or spring afternoon...

Late day sun of a May afternoon highlights the pastel greens of new growth, while
casting its shadows on, and defining the texture of, the bark on this tree in a Virginia forest.

Captured on a roll of (freezer-stored) Ektachrome EBX film through a
Contax Carl Zeiss 50mm f/1.4 Planar T* lens on a Contax RTS II.

Glyndon Park, Vienna, Virginia.

Und, als Begleitung, aus die "anderes" Vienna, möchte ich Ihnen
einige musikalische Stimmen des Frühlings a la Johann Strauss II anbieten...
