Additional information I received from fc member Ruben Alvarez (thanks again) :That dam is named by Tanes. It was build around 1979 together with the reservoir you surely saw downstream. The machines hall is underground into a tunnel digged into the rock between the two reservoirs. The hydro power company use to pump water upstream from the lower reservoir in the night. The lower reservoir is only for water supply purposes. Most of the population of central Asturias drink this water at home.

@ Regina, Kerstin, Silvia : danke :-)Das Tal liegt südöstlich von Oviedo, eine schöne aber auch industrielle Gegend ; in der nähe liegt z.B. ein Ort Sotrondio.
