My first tour in Cambodia 1996

Finding our way through the slobber often was quiet problematic. For the distance of 125 km we needed to drive more than 6 hours.
Local people close to Battambang were waiting to pull the vehicles through the mud and held hand open for a generous baksheesh. Without the help of this people no way to go ahead the highways.

Danke Matthias, damals war es ein außergewöhnliches Abenteuer, Kambodscha zu bereisen, wo meine Frau und ich einst alleine einen Tempel betraten und von hunderten Makaken beobachtet wurden, tummeln sich heute hunderte Besucher, die von einzelnen dieser Äffchen belästigt werden.

  Hunderte Besucher heute sind ja wohl noch wenige. Tausende würde es wohl eher treffen. Die haben sich stärker vermehr als die Makaken :-))))
  Tolles Foto, ja genau so war es zu dieser Zeit in Kambodscha.

Wunderbar aus dem Leben gegriffen. Diese Zeiten sich noch nicht so lang vorbei.
