My Daughter Sascha, is a classical ballet dancer, but runs her own belly-dancing studio. This picture was from a fashion shoot in a park in the city.

Thank you everyone. Yes, indeed, I am very proud of her. she used to be a ballet dancer, when she was younger. She has her own dance school, and teaches drama at university, so I do have a lot more to be proud of. And, yes, she does get into her performances. It's not just about delivering for an audience. I think the picture was taken at university at a charity show. It was just something I recorded for her. I'm no professional!

John, first let me say that you have a beautiful daughter, that you should be proud of.
It's a very nice action type of portrait that you took of her, she has a very intent look, and enjoys what she is doing.

i like the mood of this shot a lot! we are watching a "public event" – she's obviously performing for an audience – yet she seems so happily lost in her performance, too, that it's got a very private, intimate feel to it, too: a secret she possesses that we are excluded from, that we can only get a glimpse of but never fully understand, let alone decipher. so we envy her… kind regards, sabine.
