Claudia,The background was just a piece of beige picture mounting cardboard. Just added a few 'artist' effects in PSP to give it a texture. Existing lighting was exagerrated and other lighting effects added. The mask itself is just one of those things you have lying around the house - although its not the actual shape as shown in the picture. Other than that, the picture is pretty well much natural !! ;-)
