Marrakesh tanneries, at noon.
Smelliest place ever.
It was high noon, and not only the light was bad, but the smell emanating from the fermenting skin hides, slowly decomposing in the century old stone tanks.
The plastic tank in the foreground is filled with pigeon droppings (no kidding - a fine source of ammoniac, I was told).
M6 with Kodak Portra 160.
PS : can you find the dog lying on the heap of animal hair ?

I had to enlarge, but yes, I did!Nice detail in this scene.
I'll bet you partook of a nice long shower or tub soak with plenty of soap.
Guessing those who work in this environment are single...and live alone ;-)
