It's amazing that you can reach the Dandenong Ranges National Park by suburban line from Melbourne in order to get a first glimpse of the australien wildlife. During my first week in Australia it was really impressive for me to see ancient tree ferns in compostion with all the exotic forest background sounds around in reality...
