Liger in the zoo of Suphanburi
A liger behind bars. The liger is a hybrid offspring of a male lion (Panthera leo) and a female tiger (Panthera tigris). The liger has parents in the same genus but of different species. The liger is distinct from the similar hybrid called the tigon, and is the largest of all known extant felines.
Since lions and tigers do not exist in the same areas, this is not something that happens in the wild.
My photo shows this unnatural animal bred in the zoo of Suphanburi. The result of an unnecessary step in the biological sience. There are some other countries worldwide that hold a few, but probably less than 100 exist worldwide.

danke all den Kommentatoren, meiner Meinung nach ist es abartig, Tiere auf diese Weise zu züchten und Löwen und Tiger zu kreuzen, Das gelingt nur in einem Zoo unter wissenschaftlichen Bedingungen und ist ein nicht akzeptabler Eingriff in die Natur. Mein Foto setze ich als mein Protest gegen solche überflüssige Tierexperiemente.Grüße aus Thailand, Wolfgang
