Kingfisher
With its blue upperparts, orange underparts and its long bill, the kingfisher is one of our most striking colourful birds.
The species inhabits clear, slow-flowing streams & rivers and lakes with well-vegetated banks.
The soil at the beak tip of this male indicates that they are busy excavating a nest cavity.

German name : Eisvogel
Latin name : Alcedo atthis ispida
