...Oh lala..Le Can-Can, les femmes, l'amour....but this is in London. No Toulouse-Lautrec around to paint the women, no smell of sin...Only a reminder by name of the famous Parisien place. Oh - and in the back the "Bridge of sighs" - yes, when I look at musicals, I have to sigh...I don't really like them.   You're right: we still have the taste moulded on classical arts.
  I saw Moulin Rouge in the cinema with Nicole Kidman performing and I didn't like it very much. As it happens to everything today, progress makes necessary to exaggerate more and more in order to amaze and exceed the standards of the past, deviating towards Kitsch, but I remember some really good theatre musicals, such as Hair, Jesus Christ Superstar, Cats and others.
