Horta's leisure harbour
Horta Harbour, Faial Island Azores.
Long standing tradition every boat on an transatlantic trip makes a "technical" stop in Horta. Every crew imortalizes the stay by leaving a message in form of a painting on harbour walls.
Next stop is Peter's Cafe Sport about 300 meter far away in Horta's inner city. This café is a kind of UNations post office, crews can leave their post to be given to other crews or sent home. A must visit when in Faial.

excellent perspective and depth ... impressive all thesepaintings from visiting boats covering walls and road ...
I have seen similar traditional "we were here" paintings
and things left behind in other harbours (and islands
here in our Pacific waters).
