Hoping for a real home in new year....

South Africa Cape Town
At the districts of Cape Town is the "tin city", a huge second city of thousands of people living in apalling tin houses and in bare necessities. The majority of them are unemploid that, with daybreak, they flee to the city center in search for some work. The few luckier ones, struggle to keep on their feet with any kind of local trade in small shops. Their dream is to build a real home and quite often this remains for ever a dream.

Ich dachte, jetzt haben sie alles in der eigenen Hand genommen, es musste doch etwas zu machen sein?

An excellent image but unfortunately these places exist in many countries ... people make the best of what they have.

    all the best

the more things change, the more they stay the same - so they say .... a thought provoking capture and words from you - a wish that one could do something to help !!
    greetings, Adele

Little has changed for the poorer people, and sadly it never will as the greedy and wealthy have it set up this way.
    best wishes,

We areall guilty of letting this happen to others......throuh war and governments causing problems, racial discrimination......and many more factors........and in many places in the world........
