Hole in the Ground - Bauloch
This is how I remember my home town back in the eighties - with lots of "holes in the ground". In the meantime there are lots of amazing new buildings.
This new site is between the Royal Mile (Canongate) and Calton Road.
In den 80er gab es in Edinburgh eine Menge Baulöcher, wo heute moderne Gebäuden stehen. Diese Baustelle liegt zwischen der Royal Mile (Canongate) und Calton Road.

Emotional photo Kathryn....I feel sad every time I see a hole in the ground in my home town - High Wycombe - where I remeber shops & houses once stood.

Leider ist auch das schöne Edinburgh dem Lauf der Zeit und damit Veränderungen unterworfen. Das ist mal etwas völlig Anderes, als die geschönten Urlaubsfotos. Realität pur und dabei sehr interessant. Im Hintergrund sind weitere Kräne bei der Arbeit.LG Manuel
