Fair
- Paris -
This statue is in the "Jardins des Tuileries", a park located between the Louvre and the Place de La Concord in Paris.
The park is ornamented with a large collection of sculptures from the 17th to the 21st century.
There was a fair in the park in front of the Louvre. The wheel gave a nice background for this statue.

Thanks When for proposing this picture to the gallery. Eventhough it didn't quite make it, what you wrote means a lot to me. And it was a good learning experience searching for a bit of background on this statue in an earlier discussion we had.Thank you folks for taking the time to share your thoughts. I appreciate it...
Regards,
Robert

Brilliant Mark, one of the reasons I like it with the gondolas too. White statue.MWPhoto 01/05/2007 22:46 Voting comment
no one has mentioned the cleverness of the title, and the various meanings of "fair"pro from me, maybe for the wrong reasons, but pro anyway

I think the idea is very good.I would like to see the background of the houses completelly blured. And I think in monochrome it can make much more effect.

Lol. Yeah, I think I recall you mentioning that in the past Maguire. Thanks for the laugh at your doll aversion - sorry, it made me laugh. Appreciate your skip.Maguire 01/05/2007 22:46 Voting comment
I have a strong dislike of images of statues, dolls and masks.. I don't mind statues, dolls and masks (well maybe I hate dolls), I just grew at images of them. So because I can't be impartial.. skip-a-roony.Sarah D. Kiefer 01/05/2007 22:46 Voting comment
