A small church on the island of Creta built in the post Byzantine era and indicating a different mark of influence in Christian Orthodox architecture. Note how much the entire form and especially the main entrance of the church reminds the front of St Marcus in Venice.
Creta has remained under Venetian domination for nearly 500 years before falling in Ottoman hands.
