Il famoso "Strandkorb" è il tipico sdraio che si usa sul mare del nord. Siccome sul mare c'è sempre vento senza la protezione dello Strandkorb sarebbe praticamente impossibile stare in spiaggia. Lo schienale si alza e si abbassa e sotto il sedile contiene due cassetti per asciugamani e borse proteggendole dalla sabbia. Sono a noleggio per questo motivo sono numerati sullo schienale.
