Eight storey pagoda along Chao Phraya
in the Chee Chin Khor Moral Uplifting Society temple compound.
The towering Chinese-style pagoda on the west bank of the Chao Phraya River is hard to miss. It is part of a large Chinese temple on a site built by the Chee Chin Khor Moral Uplifting Society.
The society was founded in 1952 to carry out charitable works, including distributing rice, blankets, and free coffins to the poor, providing lunch for schoolchildren, and providing disaster relief.
The temple was only built on the riverbank in 1993. The large pagoda was officially opened in 2001.
