East River - No. 2 - The Zephyr
Seen here at her dock at the South Street Seaport, the Circle Line yacht Zephyr will
soon depart down the East River into New York Harbor for her cruise to the Statue of Liberty.
In the background at right, appearing closer than it really is in this telephoto perspective,
is the Beaux-Arts Battery Maritime Building, terminus for the Governors Island Ferry and
other craft; just beyond it can be seen a bit of the modern Staten Island Ferry Terminal.
The scene, on this June afternoon, was captured on Kodak Tri-X 400 film.
