Early morning visitor
The Herring Gull ia a large and very common gull all
across North America. The red dot on the bill acts
as a feeding for young gulls. When they peck at it,
regurgitated food is released by the adult parent.
They don't only eat herrings - they will eat anything.
This one came to scrounge his/her breakfast on our
balcony, while the morning mist was still lifting.
