The Border Collie is a well known sheepdog that is often cited as the most intelligent of all dogs and prized for its extraordinary instinct and working ability.
The picture shows my good friend, named ‘Dicky’.

German name : Border Collie
Latin name : Canis familiaris (*)

(*) : Border Collie is a breed of dog and breeds of dogs do not have separate scientific names, but share the same name as the species.
So, the scientific name of every dog is Canis familiaris.
