A couple enjoy the calm of a September night from the Lincoln Memorial, perhaps also viewing the
vivid blue Tower of Light rising from the Pentagon, across the Potomac in Arlington,Virginia on this
20th anniversary night of the events of September 11, 2001. (*)

Through the columns can be seen the obelisk form of the Washington Monument,
its aircraft warning lights twinkling red high above the National Mall.
