Cumbria

For most of this November day's journey from London to Glasgow, the sun was playing peek-a-boo amidst the rain clouds.

But Mother Nature smiled that special smile with which she sometimes favors the hopeful photographer enroute with limited time,
and produced that delicious combination of slate colored storm clouds and shafts of warming sunlight as we reached Cumbria in
northwest England. It was a brief window indeed, but it occurred just in time for some of the most glorious scenery on the route.
