This photo can give an idea of the so called, "fairy chimneys" of Cappadocia,the peculiar rock formations and one of the emblems of Cappadocia, due to the temp extrems in that part of Turkey. These chimneys often take very high and strange shapes rising like gigantic mushrooms in the middle of the Anatolian desert.

Luoghi particolari .. affascinanti che nella loro natura trasmettono forti emozioni.Le grotte ... primitive abitazioni mi fanno ricordare Matera.

a mythical and mysterious place and must have meant a lot to the people who lived here first ... intriguing the window and door-like caves and tops like pointed hats - and then the flat landscape and trees on the top .... a great image !!!greetings, Adele

Strange formations of rock indeed, and there are parts where it looks as though there are doors and windows in those 'chimneys'A strange and very intriguing landscape, no wonder there are myths and legends.
