Lake Volvi

Lake Volvi is located about 40 km away from Thessaloniki and at older times it was much deeper and more proliferative in fishing. Still is a great place of refuge for many bird and animal species. In 1978 was the epicenter of strong earthquakes damaging to a great extent the city of Thessaloniki.
