Buddha statue in Wat Thaworn Wararam

Seated Buddha Image, displaying the Hand Gesture of Abhaya Mudra. The Buddha Image is holding threads connected to various parts of the Ubosoth (part of religious ceromony) at Wat Thaworn Wararam, Kanchanaburi.

The swastika can be seen on the chest of Lord Buddha's statue, the symbol means "well-being".
The symbol has been used by virtually every culture at one point in time. It is still used by the Buddhists to this very day. It is a sign of peace, harmony and wellbeing.

In the Western world the swastika is synonymous with fascism, but it goes back thousands of years and has been used as a symbol of good fortune in almost every culture in the world.
The sign should never be associated with the symbol of the despicable Nazi government.
