Brooklyn-bound - No. 2

A good place for getting "up close and personal" with speeding New York City subway trains is the pedestrian
walkway on the Manhattan Bridge, high above the East River, connecting the boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn.

This level contains no less than four tracks, one of them being just a few feet from the walkway.

Here, a train clatters across the north (far) side of the bridge, on its way to Brooklyn.
After crossing the bridge, the tracks will plunge back underground for a number
of stations before emerging once again on elevated tracks.

The image is available in gallery prints on metallic paper and as a custom printed Photo Note Card.

Swoooooossssshhhhhhh.......as the cars pass by on a hot summers day.
It's always amazing to me just how many people are being "moved" that way every day in this city.
    Nicely captured!
