Boots II
Unos buenos amigos cambiaron de residencia y se volvieron a su país. Como recordatorio de su tiempo pasado en España, en Zaragoza, les quise pintar unos cuadros.
Good firends of mine moved away, back to their home country. And as a reminder of the time spent here in Spain, here in Zaragoza, I decided to offer them some paintings..

Dear Susana, thanks for taking my comment seriously and looking up the Van Gogh painting :) I saw this canvas 50 years ago in Toronto, in a visiting exhibition that made a big impression on me.I think your version is a far happier, more cheerful painting done with love, while the V.G is a very somber and sinister one.Best regards Janos

facing us with an almost human look – uncompromisingly serious, down-to-earth and direct! you can bet your boots, susana, ; )) that your painting will always be dear to your friend's heart, as it will undoubteld remind him of the good times he had in zaragoza… love how you chose a shade of soft purple (color of spirituality?) for the socks, light and planks to go with the matter-of-fact look of the boots – that way there's both down-to-earthness and wistful memory in the picture ; ))… greetings, sabine.
