Blenheim 01
Blenheim Palace, a huge building in English baroque style, was (including a large park) a gift of Queen Ann to John Churchill, the first Duke of Marlborough, because of his victory on the battle fields around Blenheim (south of Germany) in 1704. The palace was built between 1705 and 1722. In 1874 this was the birth place of Winston Churchill.
