Blasting Through - A Hudson Line Impression
Bathed in golden tones from an October Hudson River sunset, a northbound Amtrak Empire Service train
roars through the Metro North Railroad's Philipse Manor Station on one of the express tracks of the four-
track mainline. Amtrak does not stop here, but the station, in Westchester County, is regularly served by
Metro North's Hudson Line commuter trains originating at New York City's Grand Central Terminal.
