Autumn Americana
From the amount of fallen leaves, it is clear that autumn is at an advanced stage here in the lovely
town of Waterford, Virginia. But the hearty red leaves on the maple seem to say "We're not done yet."
As do the pumpkins on the steps.
Use your imagination and you might conjure up the heady aromas of a freshly baked pumpkin pie
cooling on a windowsill...and the fragrant smoke from a wood burning fireplace in the crisp autumn air..
'Tis autumn, my favorite season.
