And a little smile please

The Cattle Egret (Ardea ibis) 48-53cm arrived in Australia about 1950. He is a small squat Egret, often in flocks with livestock. His posture is usually hunched and in the breeding season he grows spiky orange-yellow plumes. The Cattle Egret prefers grasshoppers, especially during breeding season, but eats many other invertebrates. It also eats frogs, cane toads, lizards and some small mammals. Press F11
