Alice Springs from the air
taken 14 February 2005 whilst making approach to land at Alice Springs airport. The town of Alice Springs (pop. 28,000) lies in the distance beyond Heavitree Gap (upper centre of photo), in the MacDonnell Ranges of central Australia.
As it rains infrequently in this part of Australia, the terrain is semi-arid. The mountains appear spectacular and a daily reminder of geological forces shaping Mother Earth.

Hi Richard,Aufnahmen aus dem Flugzeug sind immer spektakulär. Leider ist hier ein wenig zu viel Dunst im Spiel. Schade.
