No need to search a lot to find small paradise places in the vast and always welcome Aegean Sea away from those noisy,elit and fully advertised that usually loose half their charm during the summer months of July and August. Ikaria and the near by island complex of Fournoi is one of those where peace, beautiful shores and excellent sea food reasonably priced, match perfectly with the warm hospitality of local fishermen and guest room tenants. In 16th-17th July one can also enjoy the festivities honoring the local Saint. This summer it looks as if a lot of French and Italians have discovered the place.
