A Very Old Very Happy Woman
This is a picture of a very old lady from Manali, Kullu in the state of Himachal Pradesh, India. I was just passing through the fields when I saw her. She was smiling at me. I spent a few moments with her when she was trying to tell me so many things about her life. I could not understand her words but felt I knew what she was saying. She then took out a bidi (local cigarette) from her clothes and lighted a smoke. After a few clicks I thanked her and left.
