A Feather in Her Cap
This was taken with an 80-400mm lense at a focal length of 400mm, F/5.6, shutter speed of 1/500 sec, with a tripod.
I submitted a similar photo (shot in tight) not cropped in tight, but cut off part of the beak and cap, called it White Cap. A fellow critique said they like it, but went looking particularly for the top of the cap. So I was determined to go out and try these elusive birds again. I think this is better, do you?
