About me

Like many people who take up the camera, i used to paint, and had a love for impressionist artists. To assist with colour, texture, shape and form i started using an idiot prove camera. I was working with people who had some serious equipment. One look down the barrel of a S.L.R. i was well and truely hooked. I was now to use a camera to paint with light!
Being a city kid and painter there was no doubt that landscape was the focus, with a love for the great out doors.
I bought a second hand Canon AE1. A great camera even today. I have had a hassleblad, a canon EOS 30 and an antiquated Jasica.
For me now, i have a second hand Canon EOS 50. I care only that the camera functions correctly, it is the quality of the lens and the film that does 90% of work. I use professional Fuji NPC, in conjunction with U.V. and polorising lenses.
The negs are processed outside and put straight on C.D. whereapon they are finished by Photopro 8.0
Thank you for your interest.

I enjoy this site. I could not be more impressed and inspired by the deversity of superb quality images.

Take Good Care

Ian

    Ian,
in the first instance I want to give you a warm welcome to the fc. I noticed that you expose your images to the feared fc automatic-filesize-adjustment, because you don't seem to adjust them to below 130k. You waste a lot of space... there are a lot of people, giving small tutorials on how to optimize your pics for the fc.

Your local church picture looks good. Due to the snow it looks like a b/w picture, but gets spiced up by the warm church-bricks.

I hope you'll have fun and maybe get some inspiration
from the other photographers in the fc.

    regards_marcial
