50d novice
Hello. Ive just acquired a used Canon 50d body with about a 40,500 shot history. It is a lot more complicated than my 400d and I'm trying to get the better of it using the original user guide which presupposes a much greater knowledge and background on the subject than I have. I see that there are some well-reviewed books on the camera and I must get one of them. However, the reason for this post is that when I set it on the fast shutter rate which I think is about 6 frames per second, on every stored image the red focusing points appear. Am

Going from a 400D to a 50D is quite the leap in technology. I would recommend readying Understanding Exposure by Bryan Peterson. It will teach you everything you need to know to understand the modes and the principles of photography that will make your 50D experience much better. You might also benefit from meeting up with someone who is familiar with the XXD series of camera. Often times they can answer a lot of your questions.
