starer lens
I just purchased a nikon d3200 body. What two lenses would be recommended to start with?
Best and easiest lenses to use with this body are the Nikon 18-55mm and 55-200, 250 of 55-300mm's
These will allways work with your body and are not too expensive ! Last edited by Ruud van der Lubben on 28.08.19, 22:59, edited 1 time in total.

Thanks, I was leaning in that direction, there are some other brands that match the specs, any thoughts on other manufacturers that may cost less?
You could think about Tamron and Sigma in that case. however allways check that the lens has an own AF motor, otherwise it will not function with your type of Nikon body !
Thanks for the advice. Never having had more than a "point and shoot" camera, I am looking forward to new vistas in Photography.

For your Nikon D3200, start with:
1. Nikon 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6G VR II – Great for everyday shots.
2. Nikon 50mm f/1.8G – Ideal for portraits and low light.
For more zoom, consider the Nikon 55-200mm f/4-5.6G VR II.
