I know that this is a silly questions but I'll throw it out there anyways. My memory card is about full. I have over time put the images onto my PC without deleting the originals. Is it best to delete all images from the card and then reformat it and then reuse it? Or keep it and buy a new memory card?

Personal choice.... I delete my images from the camera's SD Card after I download them onto the computer and re-format the SD card. I back up my images from the computer.

Deleting the images from the card after copying them to the computer is not neccesary.
Simply format the card in the camera and all will be gone !!

If you can keep a backup of your images in PC then you don't need to worry about formatting or deleting images from your memory card.

Yes, it’s best to delete all images and reformat the card (in-camera, not just on your PC) to maintain performance and prevent file corruption. If the card is still in good condition, reuse it—no need to buy a new one unless it’s damaged or too small for your needs. Always back up your photos before formatting to avoid accidental loss.

bonjour
perso
cordialement
Ray
