Hi,

I have moved to Belgium some weeks ago and looking for some shops in or around Leuven or Brussel to spend my money:

analog lab for higher quality print outs (color & b/w)
analog "quick" lab (film development within the same day)
shop for equipment for home b/w lab.

Does anybody has got some tips for me?

Robert it's quit interessting your experience. The only bad results I get are allways from Fuji films.

Rerolling 120 onto 620 spools and vintage cameras

Anyone out there shooting with vintage Brownie cameras? I have several mint models and have just acquired a couple more that I would like to try. I started a collection in my teens of all of the models and have just started up again. I'm piecing together a black and white dark room after 20 some years since I last smelled chemicals and turned on that red light. The last time I shot fresh film was still out on the market. I found out that Kodak discontinued 620 and 116 film back in the mid 80s. Is there anyone out there shooting and rerolling 120 onto the 620 spool? I did happen to find a supplier that shaves down modern 120, which really is exciting since I wasn't looking forward to having to black bag hand roll my own. The company also sells custom cut sheet film emulsions and pre-WWII developing chemical formulations. I have several pre- 1900 cameras, so that really thrills me.

The biggest problem with astro-photography is that the earth is rotating. Trying to get a pin sharp image is most difficult. Invest in a telescope with an equatorial mount that tracks with the rotation of the earth. Your camera can be attached to eyepiece with stunning results.

If this isn't possible, you can still get some great effects just leaving the shutter open (1-5 hours) with the night sky and an fixed object in the forground.

Also, many observatories professional and amateur) will let you attach your camera to their pro scopes. Ask around.

hi, i am a new comer in this photography field, so i would like to know type of film suitable for event.

like an example:

when i use slide (fuji velvia 50) in daylight i found it is extraordinary good, the colour is full fill and more deeper than the ordinary flim (fuji 100 or fuji 200), but when i use the slide for indoor with built in flash the result is not same when is in outdoor. why is that happened??

and there is many slide around the market, like fuji provia 100, fuji sensia, kodak chrome, and can any one actually tell me the advantage of each flim, which flim is the best for certain event.

and also can introduce some web site that have this kind of comparison for the flim.


please do post this message to the web base because i think everyone would like to know....
