You have to "guide" the telescope for avoid the star shift during the long exposures caused by the spin of the Earth
Usually,in panoramic astrophotography, we have to put the camera in "parallel" to a telescope with an equatorial mount (much better if the mount is motorized),then we have to point the telescope's eyepiece (with a reticulum cross built in) toward a star in the camera's field of view..and to follow that star during the complete exposure , giving to the telescope the appropriate corrections by manual or electronic handbox for to keep the star in the exact centre of the eyepiece's reticulum
