About me
Tim Nolan was born in Minneapolis on March 21, 1941. My Dad was a electronics gadget junkie, Mom is a artist and interior designer. With this nurturing upbringing, it was in my density to develop a passion for film. Neighborhood movie theater then a newspaper. Finally, my own camera, what caught my eye were people and nature. Nearby Lakewood Cemetery with the various statues I could practice composition and lighting. Then real people around Lake Harriet "capturing not staging" would become the style that I would become accustom too. With the introduction of digital imagery, I could capture and look for natural lighting to enhance what was to become my style. Capture then negotiate.
