I am Doris Boettcher.
I was born and grew up in Germany.
I have two big passions: Travelling and Taking
photos.
From the beginning of my life I am a curious person, who want to know what is going on behind "The corner ". I began to travel very early in my life. First, I biked in Germany and then in Europe. The only Overseas country I biked for some month was in New Zealand.
Otherwise, I have been in United States, West Canada and South Africa.
The countries I traveled again and again a private person as a tour guide such as: China, on the Transsib-Train (since 1981), on the Silkroad (since 1989), Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam (since 2000).
For me, Travelling and Taking photos means to be open to the past and present about culture, nature and people in each country I visit. I have been taking photos with my Rolleiflex Camera (first with black and white photos then in colour and now in black and white again) to keep them in my mind and documented for other people.

The country I want to know more about is Cambodia. I am now living in Phnom Penh / Cambodia since the middle of 2004.
