Wolf Inside

"Wolf

they let a wolf in to my room
it is right there
breathing
listen,
can’t you hear
in front of the door

that sound, oh
no
don’t go
let me tell you more,
don’t leave me here

when I look outside
those yellow eyes reflect from a window,
they look brighter every day

oh, that thing is so patient
when it is calling,
howling at nights
I can’t sleep knowing it is here

they let a wolf in to my room
just to see
what’s inside of me

please tell them"

Das Gedicht ist von Sami Norrbacka.
