    Thank you! While I do like my luck on the editing, as I remember the day, it was a very late snow, and so much had a very soft green glow, it was a great day for uploading...Its like a treasure hunt that provides.

    Well,Carrbee, my opinion is that photos with snow covered forests, valleys, etc come up better and usually are much more flattered in a b+w version PROVIDED the grey scale rules are strictly followed in exposure and the white comes up as pure white and not as that annoyable "grayish".That, of course, was a much more elaborate procedure for us the elders and old fashioned dark room obsessionists, messing around with filters and Ansel Adam's zone system and a lot easier now with Photoshop's help.
    Your photo is perfect as the gray scale balance is concerned with a pure white result so I don't think it would be any better in colour and your "Winter white" proves it, in which, despite a good white in the snow, a slight blue cast is present..My opinion any way!..
